We didn't have a doggie door when Boston arrived in our home, but do now! Boston and Sage punched through the screen door when playing on the steps one day.
Boston is a service-dog-in-training for Helping Paws, Inc., a non-profit organization that trains service dogs for persons with physical disabilities. For 2-1/2 years the dog lives with a foster home who trains it from puppy to placement, and has the privilege of experiencing the joys and sometimes challenges throughout the journey. Boston was born in the Cheers litter on February 1, 2009 and came to us on March 27. She lives with two humans, Richard and Jeanine, and a rescued golden retriever, Sage. This is the third dog we've trained for Helping Paws.
